Really interesting. I tested out Chatgpt and GenAI in Python and build the code on my local computer, it's pretty easy. I could even add in lines to gaurd against hallucinations and failures.

The model is still a black box though. The results were terrible compared to using old fashioned neural networks and random forest algorithms though in Python.

Such great insights!

I’m particularly interested in your approach to prompting. One thing I’ve realized about using AI tools effectively is that the quality of the output relies heavily on how clear and specific the prompts are. Without that precision, the results can be underwhelming, limiting both creativity and problem-solving. Unfortunately, many AI users struggle with this, which can prevent them from fully unlocking the tool’s potential.

What has your process been for refining your prompting skills? And if it came naturally to you, what advice would you give to someone who finds it challenging?

I ask because I write about AI with the goal of making it more accessible, breaking down complexities so that more voices, especially those most impacted, can be part of the conversation.

A lot of practice! I also think teachers have a real advantage here: they know how to ask questions, how to break things down into understandable parts, and how to give feedback. These are all essential prompting skills.

I especially liked how you framed AI not as replacing tasks, but as something that’s opening up new categories of work and thinking. It’s a subtle shift that we don't talk about enough.
